About MGE Construction

Mike remembers riding along with his dad to construction sites at a young age which sparked an interest in home construction. He started working summers for his dad’s roofing and siding company while in high school. Mike completed two years of vo-tech training building houses from the ground up. After graduation, Mike worked for his dad’s company for five years, where he learned roofing, siding, and architectural sheet metal. Then he worked as a framing carpenter for a large construction company. He moved to a smaller construction company, where he learned finish carpentry, tile setting, and customer relations.

In 2009, Mike decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, and he started his own construction business, MGE Construction. He discovered his niche was home remodeling. Mike started as a one-person operation working out of his garage. His passion for interior remodeling and general contracting has grown his business to include two full-time employees, a dedicated shop, and dozens of trusted subcontractors.

Mike’s 20+ years of construction experience gives him the knowledge he needs to be a successful remodeling contractor.
